The AAWC and formed in 1995 to help save the lives of abused women and children. Shelters are the best way to aid the abused and start them on the way to a safe and happy life. The abused must to be protected from the abuser and counseled on the importance of breaking the cycle of abuse. The abused are caught in a web and are unable to help themselves. Our purpose is be there and serve as a lifeline to rescue them. They are given a new wardrobe, assisted in getting a job, provided with transportation, coached in rebuilding the self esteem, given makeup and wardrobe tips. We leave no stone unturned to aiding the abused to starting a new life.
