Bread And Roses was founded in 1983. The aim of the Catholic Worker movement is to live in accordance with the justice and charity of Jesus Christ. Bread and Roses performs the Works of Mercy, and also struggles against the unjust social structures which cause hunger and homelessness. It addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on a local level.
