The Women\'s Center\'s Domestic Violence program empowers survivors to handle an immediate crisis by assessing the situation, exploring all available options, and taking proactive steps that will ensure their well-being and safety.

Using an empowerment model we encourage survivors to make their own decisions by:
- Promoting personal growth and increasing life skills and 
  competencies;
- Increasing a person’s sense of control over life events; and
- Building new coping skills to replace harmful or unhealthy behaviors
  or patterns.

We receive many requests from users who would like to donate to the women's shelters listed. Please call the shelter directly at 530-544-2118 and ask how to donate your items. If you would like to volunteer, please call the same number and ask for their current volunteer oppoturnities.
