Catholic Home Bureau was founded in 1899 and is one of the oldest Catholic child care agencies in the United States. Our mission can be simply expressed: strengthening the familial unit and reuniting youth with their biological parents or relatives. When this is not possible, we seek the hope for a new beginning offered by adoption. In the case of older children who may reject adoption and cannot return home, the focus is on teaching them independent living skills and educating them to be self-supporting.
