Decatur Cooperative Ministry

Hagar's House is an emergency night shelter and assessment center with support services for women with children.































































The shelter offers at least 30 nights of short-term housing and has room for up to 30 guests.































































DCM offers:































































































































Emergency shelter for women with children































































Long-term transitional housing for families with children































































Permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless families































































Financial assistance to prevent eviction or utility cut-off































































Food for households at risk of hunger

    I'm a single mother of three children and I have been trying to get into shelter since I arrived to Georgia; I was working but had to leave the job to relocate because I was in a room and where I am now it's too much stress on me and my children, we have people stealing our stuff and my children are being wrongfully accused and being bullied and when I speak on anything I get told if I don't like it I could get out, so I'm trying to get some help so I don't end up on the streets with my kids.

    Im not from here but i thought i had family that could help me i.I came to Atlanta to get away from a domestic violence situation and now my daughter and i have no where to go.i have a car and a little income ,but dont know anyone who can help me .If there is any suggestion of where we can go to find help please tell me .Excepting any and all advice.

    Hello, I'm in need of financial assistance to avoid eviction. I work a full-time and part-time job but I've fallen on hard times. If I'm not eligible for financial assistance then perhaps you can provide me with a list of homeless shelters for women that work.

    Hello my name is Nakia and I recently had a stroke. I was working but am unable to at this time, my children and I are homeless and need assistance. I am currently staying with family at this moment but cannot stay much longer, I am receiving Physical and Occupational Therapy as of now to regain the strength back on my left side.
