The Women Alive Crisis Center is a battered women's program located on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota. It began as an external program of the Northwoods Coalition for Battered Women of Bemidji, MN. Due to the large number of women that requested help, the Women Alive Crisis Center was established and became a self-governing organization on July 1, 1997. The mission of Women Alive Crisis Center is to provide a safe environment, build trust, and promote changes as needed to rebuild family cultures and values that honor our family traditions. Our organization believes that abuse is a form of societal behavior that offends our value and traditions and other alternatives must be recognized to protect victims.
