Merced Rescue Mission grew out of the need to provide food, shelter, clothing and new life to homeless men; with plans to minister to women and children in the future. Drugs and alcohol have destroyed the family and homes of men, women and children. Their concentration is centered only on their pain. Merced Rescue Mission's goal is to relieve their suffering, mend their lives and give them a desire to live.
