THIS ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE AS A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 509 (C) (3) OF THE I.R.C. IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT OF SHELTER MINISTRIES OF DALLAS (SMD), A501 (C) (3) ORGANIZATION, WHEN THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT PUBLIC SUPPORT TO COVER OPERATING EXPENSES. SMD OPERATES SHELTERS FOR THE HOMELESS AND BATTERED WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN.
