St. Elizabeth Catholic Worker (SECW) is a not-for-profit corporation located in an African-American community on the south side of Chicago.































































Their mission is to serve homeless mothers and their children by not only providing physical stability through shelter and meals but also empowering their residents through support, education, job training, skill development and affirmation.































































Their facilities provide a temporary home to 7 women and 28 children.































































They provide each family with a private room, meals, and extensive support services.































































In addition, they support their neighborhood through their weekly food pantry.

    Good evening wanted to know if you had any openings right now, I’m a mother of two boys with autism and borderline, been homeless now for about three months, staying at hotels, and friends houses. But really need help my kids have never been homeless before and they are teenagers now, if so please help. Thank you

    Do you take women without children and walk-ins? If so what is your curfew? And what happens if you find employment? can you maintain it while you are there even after curfew(night shift)? Last but not least do you withhold a percentage of your earnings from being employed?
