Palmetto House is a program of Crisis Ministries serving homeless women and children in Summerville, South Carolina.
Palmetto House was established by Dorchester Interfaith Outreach Ministries in 1989 in response to needs arising from Hurricane Hugo.
Today, Palmetto House provides temporary supportive housing for single women and families who find themselves homeless.
Since 2012, Palmetto House has been a program of Crisis Ministries, enabling Palmetto House guests to receive all the services offered to guests of Crisis Ministries, such as:
- case management
- housing counseling
- medical care
- civil legal services
- education and employment services, and more
