it's sad that me and my daughter didn't get approved.. because they based it on my mother's pay stab..i am temporily living with her because there is nowhere to go.. i mean i am unempleyed plus my pregnancy is high risk because i'm diabetic.. and this is the best time to ask for help which apparently was denied to us.. i'm just disappointed..

I FIRST WENT TO THIS CLINIC WHEN I LOST MY JOB. I THOUGHT I'D NEVER FIND MYSELF IN THIS SITUATION HAVING TO ASK FOR ASSISTANCE. I HAD HEARD MANY HORROR STORIES OF HOW GOVERNMENT WORKERS TREATED PEOPLE WHO SEEKED SERVICES. THE STAFF WAS AWESOME THEY DIDN'T JUDGE ME, THEY MADE ME FEEL WELCOMED,CARED FOR AND TREATED ME WITH RESPECT.THIS PROGRAM IS TRULY A BLESSING AND THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL. THANK YOU CARROLLTON WIC OFFICE

I just want to give a SUPER thumbs up to the Glen Park/Merrillville, IN WIC office and it's staff! I have been participating in this office's program since Fall 2010 and continue to be impressed by the information and staff. The staff goes the extra mile in providing comprehensive and applicable information regarding the program and the overall nutrition of my baby. I recently attended a class appointment and the instructor was able to help me in an area I was having difficulty. My 9 month old wasn't being receptive to baby foods and/or cereals. She explained and offered tips on improving and lessening my frustrations over my issue. I was kind of reluctant. BUT! I tried and my baby adjusted well!!...I am very thankful for this program and the staff at Glen Park. Thank you!- Tavana W.

Good Morning. I currently reside in Whittier, and I am looking for an opportunity to volunteer with the women's shelters in the Whittier area. Would you be able to provide me with more information? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I would like to make donation of women's clothes and shoes in very good condition to a women's shelter in Chicago. Are you able to direct me to a shelter that accepts donations and can pickup the donation?

Hello, My name is Kristen Russell and I have a desire to help at the Women’s shelter. I have some clothes that I would love to donate. Do you accept women’s clothing? Also, I am a certified yoga instructor and I’m studying school to become a licensed master esthetician (skin care and health). I would love to volunteer my time in offering yoga sessions and even facials to the women. If this is something you’re interested in please contact me. Thank you
