Through the years they have continued to offer effective programs to meet their needs.
Their residents are homeless, many have substance abuse problems, some are abused and some are the abusers; some are out of income and resources. All are out of options.
Evangel Home is a Christian ministry that believes in the worth of each individual and in the power of Jesus Christ to restore broken lives.
They believe that each women must learn to take responsibility for her life and their programs are aimed to help them become victors rather than to remain victims of harsh circumstances.
Their basic philosophy is that they are most effective focusing on one woman 1,000 ways rather than 1,000 women one way.
They offer you the best they have in a warm and supportive environment.
There is no charge for your stay, but they do ask that you contribute to the household chores.
They have several programs each with different rules, requirements, and expectations.
However, each area has the following basics:
They are a non-smoking facility. No smoking is allowed anywhere on their campus.
They do not tolerate alcohol or drug use.
They have curfews and times to be in the Home.
Everyone helps with household chores.
They maintain a dress code.
They have zero tolerance for violence either physical or verbal.
