'Helping Hands Against Violence, founded in 1978, grew out of a local domestic violence tragedy.































































Originally operated by volunteers utilizing a ''safe house'' program, the agency is now staffed by 6 paid employees and owns and operates 2 facilities.

“Helping Hands Against Violence is dedicated to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking by focusing attention on said issues through education, outreach and most importantly, DIRECT SERVICES. We are supported by the United Way Foundation in addition to other funding. ”
