Currently homeless due to an altercation with my oldest daughter I am in need of a safe place for myself and my 11 year old daughter charges were brought on her for assault Im also in need of counseling having a tough time and feel lost and broken, heard great things about this facility from a good friend of mine who also experience this, currently I'm staying in a motel its not safe at my home due to the fact that Kenosha police and every resource ive reached out to hasn't provided any calls back and nor women and childrens horizon I was very honest with them and tried my best to explain my situation and constantly was told to either call back or someone will call me right back but they have failed miserably Kenosha county has many different resources ive tried everything and only to be given the run around by every facility out here,my funds are getting low but I am not asking for financial help ive explained this many times to them I just need and want to get back on my feet and find a safe place especially for my daughter she's a great kid with a big heart but she has seen me fail way to many times over the past year and I cant give up now I have to believe and pray that I can do that,I just don't know were to turn to Kenosha County has failed me and I don't have the strength to go through another conversation with someone on the other line thinking I was getting some where only to be discouraged and depressed afterwards and feel like a fool with the system that I reached out to,Kenosha discriminates against minorites its something I didn't expect but its the truth the system out here wants to keep you down and then offer resources that cant help you,so pretty much I've told my story 9 times in the past week in hopes I can move forward with some kind of assistance but was let down by every female I spoke to I even tried calling Shalom center and they didn't even attempt to at least call me back to let me know anything..I refuse to play the victim or have to cry to a stranger Just to get help especially for my kid,Ive been a single mom for ten years now and have worked to hard to just throw in the towel It just adds to my depression which I see a doctor for the past year and my daughter does also It's been hard balancing all and I'm very overwhelmed at this moment But I refuse to give up my daughter deserves more then that and I want to lead by example not go backwards I really hope you guys are able to offer some assistance,or at least give me some resources,I was originally from racine and moved to Kenosha to get away from her father,he too was abusive,I want to break this cycle and stigma that surroundes single moms that are going through hardship I really pray you guys are able to help me in some kind of way I appreciate you taking the time to read this thank you..
