It is a difficult decision to leave home and live in a Shelter.

Women and their children come to Shelter because their homes are not safe.

During their time in Shelter, there are two main goals.

First, to begin to recover from the violence they have experienced.

Second, to move forward in rebuilding their lives.

There is a lot of work to do both emotionally and practically.

For women interested in learning more about the process of coming to stay, they should call their 24-hour hotline to talk about what it means to come to Shelter.

Theyll talk about living in a community and the rules and responsibilities of living in the Shelter.

Hi, I have a lot of breast pump supplies and such that are unused/lightly used. Is this something I can donate? Also where can I donate other baby supplies?

My daughter is 7 years old and has for years seen me, her dad, and her aunt bring food to the shelter for people after Christmas but now she wants to make a meal every week and bring it to the women and children. I would love for us to be able to help serve the women and children. So we can show our daughter it's not bad to make the food and drop it off but to humble ourselves to do for other people. I am trying to sell almost everything i have and sell my home. I have lots of everyday items i would like to donate. I do not want to bring items not needed do you have a list of items needed? I have 10 cases of ready to eat food including: Cookies, Crackers, Frito Lay Chips, Gourmet BoomChikaPopcorn, baby gates, adult female (plus size 2X) nice work suits, nice new leather attache and briefcase type cases. Female young teen clothes and shoes, female middle school girl clothes. New school backpack (girls) All nice, clean and some still new with tags. Also have some bath and personal hygiene supplies (new)... I will be in Concord/Kannapolis on Wednesday Sept 30, 2020... I have a designer racing themed sweet 16 birthday cake that I would like to donate if possible. It was a “second” cake that was not needed for a friends sweet sixteen birthday and they asked me to find a good home for it. It is sitting on a large platform that is 14” wide, cake is about 10” wide and stands about 14” tall. Awesome looking cake! I can send a picture if needed.
