YWCA South Hampton Roads

The YWCA South Hampton Roads is a source of strength, courage, and empowerment for women and families facing crisis.































































































































Their programs provide quality services responding to: the critical needs of survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence, young women seeking direction, the need for quality and affordable childcare, and opportunities to work collaboratively to eliminate racism in the community.































































































































They operate the domestic violence shelter for the city of Norfolk, and also provide other crisis services such as hospital accompaniment, a 24/7 hotline, victim advocacy, and counseling.

    Hello My name is Karen. My 8 years old son and I need a place to stay for temporary starting November 30th. I'm Deaf. My son is a victim for aggravated sexual assault by the juvenile this Spring.     I am currently a single women I have children but they all live with family members and because of my situation I am currently homeless need a place to stay i have been having a hard time since 2002 as to how i can retain a home for myself my income has been hindering me from renting anything here in Virginia that i have been pillow to post please if you all can Help what do i need to do to apply for a transitional housing program or a program where i am able to rent my own studio apartment or a 1 bedroom based on my income i really don't know what to do please if you can email me back as to what my next step should be because where I am currently staying now I need to have a place by April please.
