I was in a long term (36) year relationship that ended badly and abruptly. No physical violence but a lot of verbal. I’ve been temporarily staying with my daughter and her family but I have to leave. Although I’m employed my finances are zero. I’m trying to find a room to rent but that’s not as easy as I thought it would be. Is there someone that I can speak with to get some sort of guidance or help?

I'm 62, I was laid off from my job in 2015. I managed to keep myself afloat by living off my savings, and part time jobs. Then everything came to a halt. I wasn't able to get a job that would keep me in my apartment. April 30th 2018 I gave up my apartment. I've been living with friends since then trying to find a room, but I don't make enough money, I'm working part-time. Now my friends have to short sale their house. And I have to find a place to live. I need help with job training and finding a place to live.

HI my name is Tyra Brooks, a representative from Bloomfield College. Does your center welcome groups of college students to volunteer? Let me know whenever your available.
