Star Of Hope Mission

Star of Hope Mission began in 1986 when the face of homelessness began to change and women with their children were coming to the Mens Shelter begging for a safe place to stay.

The present shelter was built in 1989 and can house up to 300 guests in 71 rooms.

The occupancy varies between 250 and 300 people daily, many of those served are children.

Star Of Hope Mission Mission Statement

My son and I need a place to stay desperately. I have a job and a vehicle and am more than willing to contribute financially and help other residents with transportation as much as I am able. We just need a roof over our head.

I picked up a young woman yesterday at Walmart in Alvin, Texas. She was desperate and looking for a homeless shelter. We could not locate one in Alvin and I have not found anyone to help her. She is staying in our barn in a small room, but she needs more resources than she can get here. We are an old couple and have not much to offer. She has no way to get around and she wants a place to live and wants to work to get her life back. She wants Christian counseling. Can you help her? Thank you

There's a lady who has four kids living in her car and hotels and motels from change that she's barely received from other people and she's being kicked out of her hotel/motel. Are there any shelters she can stay at?
