Asian Women's Home is the domestic violence program of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI).































































































































Alarmed by the incidence of domestic violence in the Asian community and realizing the enormous cultural and linguistic barriers immigrant families faced, AACI formed Asian Women's Home in 1986.































































































































Their staff speak 16 different languages, both Asian and non-Asian.































































































































Their 12-bed shelter is the only domestic violence shelter in Santa Clara County that focuses on the Asian community, and they are one of only nine shelters focusing on Asian and Pacific Islander domestic violence victims in the entire continental U.S.
