Ruby's Place Programs
Ruby's Place provides shelter and support services to women and their children, who are homeless for any of the following reasons:
- Domestic Violence
- Human Trafficking
- Financial Hardship
- Family Problems
- Loss of Employment
Ruby's Place Program Services:
Ruby's Place is a comprehensive wellness based program aimed at providing much more than just shelter to its clients, Ruby's Place offers the following services:
- 24-HOUR CRISIS HOTLINE someone is available 24 hours per day to talk to you. Call 510.786.1246 or 1.888.339.SAFE
- Emergency shelter for women and children
- 24 hour emergency pick-up for incoming clients from a public location
- 24 hour over the phone crisis intervention, counseling and safety planning.
Ruby's Place relies on community support, individual and business contributions, and funding from public agencies and private foundations to maintain and enhance its services.
The mission of Ruby's Place is to assist women and their children in crisis by providing a safe, temporary home, support services, and hope through empowerment, resulting in self-sufficient clients who return to the community; and to help break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness.
It is the policy of Ruby's Place, to make its services available to all eligible clients.
Rules for acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) status, age, marital status, familial status, or handicap.
